Counting Crow...
We were quite surprised today, when we found out that BabyShasha knows how to count, in both Malay and English. Here are some samples of our conversation:
1st attempt, 17th June 2007
MommieSha: One...
BabyShasha: Two...
MommieSha: (Surprised, but proceed) Three...
BabyShasha: (Silent)
2nd attempt, 18th June 2007
BabyShasha was half sleepy and half playful during the ride home after dinner.
MommieSha: Satu...
BabyShasha: Dua...
MommieSha: (Surprised, but proceed) Tiga...
BabyShasha: Dua...
MommieSha: Hhmm... :-?
MommieSha: (After some time, tried again) Satu...
BabySha: Dua...
MommieSha: Tiga...
BabyShasha: Empat...
MommieSha: Lima...
BabyShasha: (Silent)
MommieSha: Enam... (Still no reply after that)
MommieSha: (After some time, tried again) Satu...
BabySha: Dua...
MommieSha: Tiga...
BabyShasha: Empat...
MommieSha: Lima...
BabyShasha: Enam...
MommieSha: Tujuh...
BabyShasha: (Started showing her fingers as if counting, and then laughed)
It seems that the nursery teachers have been teaching the kids quite a lot of things! That is good!
Ah well, there are limits when you try to test and teach a baby something. I guess we've made her revise too much for the night, because before that we also made her revise another set of teachings:
A for Apple (BabyShasha: Api!)
B for Banana (BabyShasha: Anana!)
C for Cherry (BabyShasha: Cheghi!)
C for Cat (BabyShasha: Tet!)
Cat says...? (BabyShasha: Me-oww...!)
D for Dog (BabyShasha: Dog!)
Dog says...? (BabyShasha: Bow bow...!)
E for Elephant (BabyShasha: -no mood already-)
I guess there's plenty of time to nurture a new seed... We'll continue next time. ;-)
Fun learning with BabyShasha,
