Mom-mee...!

Since BabyShasha has her own "outing quota" over weekends, we tend to get ourselves driving around for some activities, mainly for food-hunting, window-shopping and visiting a park.

If AbbuMama is at the back seat of our car, (MommieSha prefers to be the driver), BabyShasha would prefer to sit at the back and bully him. Last Saturday, she did just that, sitting (or rather, standing) at the back seat with her godfather.

AbbuMama found this the best time to teach her some words. Among the words he could manage to teach her were "car", "cat", "AbbuMama", and finally... "Mommie"!

BabyShasha, with such sweet voice, trying hard to pronounce it correctly - "Mom-mee...! Mom-mee...!" Aiyyoo..., how my heart melted... :'-) The whole journey back was full of tease from AbbuMama saying that "Somebody learnt to call somebody for the first time, melting somebody's heart that she can sleep tightly tonight!" Yeah..., right!

Of course, she wouldn't be saying it on her own until another few rounds of practising the pronunciation with us. Yet, it's a good progress from BabyShasha's side in learning to call me "Mommie" instead of "Teh"...

I also caught BabyShasha saying words on her own such as "Mama-jie", "Da-da", "Pa-pa" once in a while during these few weeks. All those names sound as if she's missing her godfather, though. Hhmm...
